Southern Star Studios

I was born and raised in Sweet Home Tuscaloosa Alabama. I grew up with all the southern traditions.... Highschool Football on Friday and Alabama Football Saturdays lead by The Bear. Sunday supper with fried chicken and real mashed potatoes after church, and all the other southern comforts. Coca Cola in an ice-cold glass bottle, or if you prefer, a PBR and bar-b-que with white bread and some of the best music this side of the Mason Dixie line. So I guess you could call me a Southern Bell, but I am just not that girly. I think the best adjective would be Southern Thing.

I love saying and I am the luckiest only child around. I was blessed with a step brother and a half brother and sister. I was lucky enough to have been raised by a loving mom, strong grandmothers, a lake-loving grandfather and a variety of little old southern ladies, hippies and the best group of friends anyone could hope to grow up with. Now that I am all grown up I still have wonderfull friends and also a great family that stands beside me and roots me on. All of these piece coming together to make a one person...like in my art.

 

One piece of glass may start my work but it is only after all the shards are brought together that it becomes art. They say life imitates art...in my cause art imitates life. Enjoy
